illustration friday - 'sail'

I am getting later and later with my entries for illustration friday, i seem to just squeeze them in at the last minute, oh well better late than never. I enjoyed this week's topic and i know swans glide more than sail but i had this image in my mind of a black swan.

This is stunning. The piece breathes elegance and beauty :)

Another great piece. I find the black swan a bit sinister which for me gives the work a dark, fairy tale like quality.

Beautiful illustration. I like your other work, too.

very beautiful, elegant, simple. Are the textures from stamps, paper, a combination....?

I love your textures. I see this was done very cleverly in Photoshop. Are the sewing effects also in photoshop? Great composition and fabulous feel.

Thanks for all the comments, the textures are a combination of pen, paper and indian textile patterns. The 'sewing effect' is actually the paper tear from my sketch book. Again thanks for all the encouragement.
